Hess’s is very proud of their success in the BBQ and Food industry. We now have 3 certified KSBS judges on staff. We are available to judge a certified event. Hess’s have won numerous local and national awards. Our most recent event, we were awarded #1 Pork BBQ in the state, along with awards in chicken, beef and brisket. Nationally, we won 1st place in Beef and Pork, judged by AAMP. Call to find out our selling and competing dates. We are affiliated with National BBQ, AAMP, KCBS: Kansas City Barbecue Society, and the Lancaster and York Chamber of Commerce.
Hess Barbecue Catering has recently competed in two Barbecue Cook offs. The first cook-off was held in Wildwood NJ. Lloyd Hess and the Flying Porkers were very proud to bring home a second place trophy for Ribs.The second cook-off was held in New Holland, PA. Summerfeast 2001 brought out Paul Hess, his wife Brenda and their cooking team. At this competition Hess's were proud of their third place Brisket trophy. Also Honorable Mentions in Pork, Sausage, Ribs.
These competitions bring cooking teams in from all over the United States as well as Canada. Competition is though and Hess Barbecue is very proud of their accomplishments.
